Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Today I’m writing about the new Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette which was gifted to me by Urban Decay for review and marketing purposes.

The palette has 12 eyeshadow shades, 4 matte + 8 glittery and includes the usual double-ended eyeshadow brush which is usually found in their Naked Palettes.

I swatched the shades on my arm and found them to be very vibrant and pigmented. However, when I used them on my actual eyes I found that they didn’t show much colour, I had to use other shades of matching colours underneath to get the vibrancy I wanted then add the glitter shadows on top. This was unfortunately disappointing although they did give a very nice glittery shine and if you like subtle colours rather than a vibrant look this could be perfect for you, but if you prefer vibrant shades then maybe just use these shades on top of a more colourful eyeshadow to add a bit of sparkle.

For the first look I used the shade Hexed for my crease to my brow bone and Vibes for my lid, then finished it off with Opal Aura on the inner corner of my eyes.

For the second look I used Jade on my lid and Raw Energy under my eye and for my crease to my brow bone, however due to finding that Raw Energy didn’t show up very well I added a different purple shade on top then used Ojo on my inner corners.

The packaging is extremely beautiful though, the palette itself has a 3D effect on the lid to resemble a gem stone or geode. I think it’s one of the most beautiful and interesting palette designs I’ve seen honestly.

There isn’t much else to say and I like to keep these reviews short and sweet, I’m thankful to Urban Decay for gifting me this palette to try out and I think it’s made for some beautiful images, it just isn’t as vibrant as I’d hoped.

Best wishes ~ Becca x
